Next week, we have an official view of the Galaxy S9. But with the speed of the leak on the new phone continuing, we should have a very good idea of what Samsung has planned before it will be released on February 25th.
The latest leak comes from the German site WinFuture, which has released a report on what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy S9. Most of the features in this report are consistent with the previously reported S9 specifications, but the WinFuture story provides a fresh look at the S9 through product rendering and marketing materials.
The Galaxy S9 and S9 + images are very similar to their predecessors, the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 +. The new phones retain the infinity display and the extra-large picture format that made the Galaxy phones so successful over the past year. This new report indicates that the screen has been adjusted to reduce the bevel on the bottom of the phone.
The marketing materials included in the report also reflect some of the features we've already heard, including the camera that is at the heart of the S9 update. Previous reports have suggested that the rear camera will provide a variable aperture from a large f / 1.5 aperture in low light conditions to an f / 2.4 f-stop at other settings. The WinFuture report shows what a marketing slide looks like, which supports the ability of the camera to adjust the aperture based on the captured photo.
Another marketing picture shows stereo speakers on the new phone. The pictures show speakers at the top and bottom of the S9. This is in line with previous reports suggesting that Samsung has designed AKG Dolby Surround stereo speakers.
WinFuture losses show phones in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Purple Purple. It is reported that Samsung is planning a different color, Titanium Gray, and Evan Blass, a filtering, was more than happy to publish a picture of this model on Twitter today (February 19).
There's less than a week to go before Samsung holds its Galaxy S9 event to kick of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We'll find out then just how accurate these leaks will prove to be.
