If you want to buy a Nintendo Switch during Christmas, you'll need games and accessories. Although there are a handful of packages that change everything you need right from the start, finding official Nintendo models can be tricky, not to mention numerous third-party packages that are not always a great resource. value To help you find the right replacement plan for you or a loved one, here is a list of available options.

Nintendo Official Packages

To date, Nintendo has released two official Nintendo Switch packages: one for Super Mario Odyssey and one for Splatoon 2. The Mario Odyssey package includes the console, game, Mario-red Joy-Cons, and a Mario briefcase and was sold to most major retailers. The Splatoon 2 package comes with a switch, a copy of Splatoon 2, a pink and green Joy-Cons and a colorful splatoon case and is exclusive to Walmart. Both packages are $ 380; It does not really save money by buying the system, the game, and a separate box, but it gets exclusive accessories. Unfortunately, these official packages can be very hard to find, and they are sold almost everywhere at the time of writing (December 4). So, if you do not want to pay more than $ 500 to a distributor, it's better to opt for a standard switch (which is much more often in stock) and buy the games and accessories you need separately. Third party packages GameStop and Best Buy offer a handful of customizable Nintendo Switch packages, most of which consist of the base console and a popular game like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for a total of $ 360. You do not get a joy-cons or exclusive accessory, and you're basically paying the same price as buying the console and the game. These packages are just for convenience. You can also see some huge third-party reseller packages, such as this $ 856 package on Amazon, which includes five additional games and accessories, such as flyers and USB-C cables. However, there is a lot of money to switch to an unofficial provider, and we always recommend buying the switch base and selecting and selecting the add-ons you need.

Bottom line

With the novelty of the switch, you should not expect to find a package that will save you a lot of money. If you manage to follow a Mario or Splatoon package at list price, you will get exclusive accessories, but they are not worth it. Third-party packages from places like GameStop and Best Buy add a little more convenience, but again they do not save money. Our advice? Stay on the switch base and add the needed games and accessories. The new Nintendo console will play everything with or without fantasy on the subject of Joy Cons.
