Here's the Galaxy S9's Answer to Animoji

Apple clearly wins the Emoji race thanks to Animoji 3D technology. But now Samsung is working on something that could compete with it.

The upcoming Galaxy S9 + S9 and Samsung Galaxy devices will be using 3D Emoji technology much like Animoji, the Korean news ETNews cites, citing people who claim to know their plans. The report adds that Samsung will also be offering Galaxy S9 series stereo speakers, another feature that will keep pace with Apple's iPhone X.

According to the report The Verge previously discovered, the 3D emoji feature allows the phone to track your facial movements as you speak and make funny faces. Similar to the Animoji feature of the iPhone X, you can choose from a variety of characters, including animals that can be sent to others with your message.

However, we do not know what will stimulate the Galaxy S9 3D emoji function. Apple's technology is only possible thanks to the iPhone's 3D Face ID 3D camera, and Samsung is reportedly planning a 2D face scanner similar to the Galaxy S8 range last year.

In another allusion to the iPhone X, the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 + are also supplied with two speakers, according to ETnews report. One of these speakers is at the top and the other at the bottom, which allows a stereo sound. The report comes just one day after SamMobile has reported that Samsung is planning to build speakers with AKG-matched Dolby Surround technology.

The ETNews report did not specify these features, but since Samsung owns AKG, the department should use speaker technology in one way or another.

Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + on February 25, before the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In addition to the above features, it is expected that the new Samsung phones will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, a dual-lens camera and a design that is almost identical to the Galaxy S8 last year.

Look for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + in store shelves in mid-March.
