8 reasons to buy the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

The iPhone 8 ($ 699) and the iPhone 8 Plus ($ 799) sound familiar, but contain many improvements to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on the inside and even on the outside. There is an innovative Bionic A11 processor, cameras with faster and larger sensors and wireless charging. However, these flagships are definitely not perfect, and even the heavily publicized iPhone X is on the way.

Here are some reasons why you should buy the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus, and a few reasons why you should think twice.

The fastest phones of all time

The Bionic A11 chip in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is the strongest we've ever seen. This processor not only eliminated the Android competition in synthetic reference points such as Geekbench and 3DMark but also outperformed the performance of the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 in video editing. This speed advantage is especially important when considering the types of resources that augmented reality applications require. Here you can see all results of the speed test of the iPhone 8.

The best cameras

After comparing photos alongside the Galaxy Note 8 on a face-to-face camera, I hope I can say that the iPhone 8 Plus now has the best camera on every phone. The iPhone 8 also produces great pictures, but dual lenses are not achieved on the smaller iPhone. I prefer the plus because the telephoto lens allows both 2x optical zoom and ingenious portrait mode.

Wireless charging
(finally)

As someone who has crossed more Lightning cables than I can count, it's good to know that Apple finally supports Qi wireless charging on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. This means that you can use Belkin Qi loading platform, Mophie, and others. We've put together some of the best wireless chargers, but if you want fast wireless charging, look for a base that produces 7.5 watts.

More sustainable designs

With a new reinforcing layer, Apple says the glass on the front and back of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is the most durable glass on a smartphone. (We'll test it soon.) In addition, the 7000 Series aluminum strip surrounding the new iPhones is extremely strong.

You may not need a case, but if you still want one, we have some recommendations for iPhone 8 cases and you can charge the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus wirelessly a holster.

Big battery life (better in the plus)

Despite its unparalleled speed, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are also very efficient and last longer than their paying predecessors. The smallest iPhone 8 took 9 hours and 54 minutes in the battery test of Tom's Guide, which includes continuous internet surfing via LTE. It's better than the average smartphone at 9:40.

The iPhone 8 Plus offers greater strength as the phablet lasted 11 hours and 16 minutes. This leads the most to our list of more durable smartphones.

Top speakers

Whether you're dreaming of Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora or something else - you'll enjoy the loud and powerful sound of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The stereo speakers of new phones get 25% more volume than before and the sound is richer at the bottom so you can enjoy more natural voices.
