If these leaked Galaxy S9 photo samples are real, Apple is going to be worried

When Samsung announced its intention to hold a special Galaxy S9 press event before the Mobile World Congress later this month, the company's invitation had a headline that read, "The Camera, Reimagined." Now we have some pictures that shed light on what that might mean.

A loser from China Weibo, previously informed by the BGR, has posted three pictures of official press photos to promote the quality of the Galaxy S9 camera. The first represents a child on a swing, the second a man jumping into a lake and the third a cat. At first glance, that may not mean much. But each picture highlights different features that Samsung plans for the Galaxy S9.

Take a picture of the staggering child, for example, Samsung seems to show the quality of motion detection of the Galaxy S9 camera and its fast autofocus. The image of the man leaping into a lake highlights the quality of light and performance under apparently weak conditions. The cat's image shows the depth of field and the ability of the Galaxy S9 to maintain quality from the front to the back.

To be clear, it is impossible to confirm that the images in question come from the Galaxy S9. However, the images seem to be what would be used in marketing efforts, and the use of "9" semi-transparent follows the use of the number by the company in its invitation to the media.

It should also be mentioned that Samsung has made it clear that the Galaxy S9 series would get nice camera updates this year. Among them, it is said that the Galaxy S9 has a Dual Speed Dual Pixel Super Speed Camera. One would be f / 1.5 and the other would be f / 2.4.

In addition, the Galaxy S9 + is probably equipped with a dual-purpose camera similar to the Galaxy Note 8. This would allow the S9 + to provide the same live focus function and capture portraits with a bokeh effect

.

Samsung will introduce its new Galaxy S9 devices at a press event on February 25, the day before the Mobile World Congress. The company's smartphone is likely to have a design almost identical to that of the Galaxy S8, but it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor more powerful and efficient. In addition to the new cameras, the Galaxy S8 is expected to provide improved software that uses artificial intelligence to enhance the user experience.
